Book Donation – ASLLUK

Book Donation

UPDATE
By Mr Fritz Kodagoda

In my role as a member of the Management Committee of the Commonwealth In England Barristers Association I am tasked with organising the Book Donation Project to Commonwealth Bar Associations. ASLLUK is supporting this project by meeting the cost of transportation of law books to Sri Lanka. The consignment we sent in 2011 was much appreciated and the former President of BASL Shibley Aziz P.C. made reference to this project in the BASL Newsletter.

Mr James Guthrie QC of 3 Hare Court Chambers has generously donated a valuable set of law reports including All England Law Reports as a contribution to the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies in Sri Lanka and again ASLLUK is meeting the transportation costs. Mr Mark Ockelton, Vice President of the Immigration Upper Tribunal, has also donated books from himself and some colleagues to be sent to Sri Lanka. We are immensely grateful to all our donors.
